Along side all of the things that I do, I am a mom of an autistic child first! Kristian is my twin pride and joy. Everyday she gets out the bad happy or sad and starts her day like any other kid. She is very inquisitive and loves food, playing in water, and watching videos on YouTube. In light of her illness and feeling my own frustrations with the lack of care, concern or resources for parents and their disabled children, I reached out to my pastor and asked could I start Kute Kidd.
Kute Kidd is a small support group anchored at the Church Without Walls in Carrollton, GA. This group is open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the church or religious to attend the meetings. We typically meet the 2nd Saturday of the month at 3PM unless noted on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mykiddiskutegroup. The goal of the group is to be a comfortable place for parents to vent and exchanges resources and information with parents that can sympathize with their situation. We are actively working on a quite room for our Sunday services with children with sensory disorders. Ultimately, I would like to sponsor a bus trip to Sesame Place in Philadelphia, PA for disabled kids and their parents.
There is always a need so if you would like to donate, we have an active Cash App at $kutekiddsupport.
